More Test Photos
Okay. So, my first attempt at photo taking was a bust. I tried again, with only one light, with the same background. I’m pretty pleased with the results, although one can never have too much soft fill light.
Here’s the results. The ammo crate is an out-of-print scatter terrain piece from Antenocitis Workshop. There was a bit of miscasting on this particular crate—some holes and weird bubbly stuff—so a buddy and I just hit it with a bunch of weathering powder.
The decal is from a buddy’s stash of 40k Imperial Guard decals. I’m not terribly happy with the location of all the rust, but it certainly looks good on the tabletop. The rust is the Orange Rust from the Tamiya line: Weathering Master Set C.
In general, I’m super happy with the Tamiya weathering powder line. They definitely let you cheat and get some nice effects on your models without crazy amounts of time/effort spent on blending.
