Eclipse Cake

So my better half made me this Eclipse-themed carrot cake for a special occasion. In addition to being FREAKING AWESOME, it was also super delicious! Mmmm carrot cake…

The hexes and tokens are printed with edible inks on thin fondant pieces.  Much to my better half’s dismay, there was a fading problem with some of the inks, hence the washed out appearance.  I certainly didn’t mind, but she demanded I put it on the record. All in all, it was a lovely cake made by a lovely person!  Truly my better half.
